Worship
Worship is an important part of life at Holy Trinity and every week we have the opportunity to worship together as a whole school, in our Key Stages and to worship more intimately as a class together. In addition to this, children are invited to offer their more personal and individual prayers to our ‘prayer tree’, which remains in our whole school prayer space throughout the year.
We use broad themes to guide our worship, underpinned by meaningful biblical references and stories, always with the opportunity to reflect on our own beliefs and what the stories and ideas mean to us and our lives.
Song is an integral part of our worship. Each week the whole school assembles for Praise and Reflection, led by our music specialist and the choir, where a mixture of modern and traditional hymns and chants are used to inspire reflection and contemplation. Our Choir lead us in song for all of our whole school worship and are frequently invited to take part in Sunday services as far afield (and as grand) as Canterbury Cathedral and Westminster Abbey!
We have strong links with our local church and at significant times in the liturgical calendar will all walk together to be led in song and prayer in a specially planned service, to which parents, carers and governors are also invited.
